The Queen of Brightness, Chi Chia Ren, is a freshman at a prestigious American school, living an enviable life of luxury and fashion. Her father, Chi Peng, is a big cadre of the Sheng Hong Men in Taipei, so she is always accompanied by a handsome bodyguard, Lin Yuliang, who is also the head of the Sheng Hong Men. When Chi Chia-Yan returns to Taipei for a summer vacation, she learns that Luo Wen-Yong, the leader of the Sheng-Hong Clan, has been assassinated and that Chi Peng has been framed for the murder. Luo Wenyong's son, Luo Yifeng, inherits his father's throne and vows to exterminate the Chi family. When Chi Jia Ren's life is threatened, Lin Yuliang takes her on the run.
